I recently started to write my own games, for Windows and Mac. I put it all up on github, in case anyone here wants to play them. An executable for windows and Mac OSX is included in each package (just start it from the bin directory). They are of course in pre-alpha status, but I think already very well playable! Here are the links: Arne's BreakoutArne's SpaceTaxiThere are not many levels yet in both games. One is a Brick and Ball game, and one is a Space Taxi game. I also have a WIP of a racing game, but it is only a pixelshader road and some roadside objects so far (use cursor keys and z/x) Arne's RacingI used the excellent LÖVE 2D-engine and the great programming language LUA to program those games. I programmed my own collision detection and physics. Tell me what you think!

Keep going...make more games, upgrade to better engines and keep going, gaining skills along the way. They're good for first games.

Thanks! Yes that is the plan. It is funny, I consider the games as easy but all my friends told me they are too hard. So this is how games end up being so hard all the time: if you program them yourself, you inevitably get really good at them and forget how a new player must feel.
